After  a second workshop round, we had another reading of "Reporter Girl", about the very first syndicated female comic strip writer, Dahlia "Dale" Messick who wrote "Brenda Starr Reporter". I was reading the roles of C.D. Bachelor (famous cartoonist of his day, mentor and lover to Dale) and Mystery Man (Brenda Starr's mysterious love interest)

Delta has established a reputation for entertaining in-flight safety videos. It appears they're also going to establish a reputation for quick turnover- I shot a new one for them set to appear in Nov 2013. You really do need to know where the nearest emergency exit is.

The short I shot with C.S Lee ("Dexter") in Nov will be screened as part of the Columbia Univ Film Festival at Lincoln Center. Directed by the award-winning Iris K. Shim ("The House of Suh"). I play Greg, a father who's concerned about his sick daughter- with good reason.

Well worth the wait. The series seems incredible and it was thrilling to finally see it up on screen.
I play VP Matthews' Chief of Staff. A few shots in the Oval Office and then walking him through the White House, briefing him on his schedule.

We've been working on this play for 10 weeks now (lost a few to Hurricane Sandy) and we'll be presenting it to a small audience and the playwright on Thurs Dec 13! Theater and film have always been my favorite ways to learn. I'll admit that this was one of the Sunday comic strips I skipped as a kid, but it turns out it was written by one of the first female comic strip writers, Dale (Dalia) Messick! And that Ms. Messick's grand daughter is a playwright who I'd worked with a few years back and is now writing a play about Brenda Starr- and it's gotten some attention. More to come...
