Conversations Across Difference
Communities experiencing discord or internal turmoil over deeply held, and conflicting, beliefs can feel torn apart, divided and hopeless. A place or group that once felt like home, safe and welcoming suddenly becomes a source of tension, pain and fear.
It is possible to come together across these divides to create powerful conversations that deepen our capacity for listening and understanding each other.
Facilitated conversation creates a space where, with guidance and tools, participants can have meaningful, direct, deep and personal conversations across their differences, without shying away from their real feelings or conflicts. This experience is supported by participants having the radical and vital experience of being seen and understood in the way they wish to be seen.
Participants in my series report feeling exhilarated and safe, sometimes for the first time, having political conversations with others in public. They come away with a deeper and richer understanding both of themselves and those they disagree with, and a deeper
sense of connection to those they are in conversation with.
Trained as a facilitator by Resetting The Table, I have served as a Facilitator and Coach for them since 2017. I also offer these services in private practice.
Most of our work focuses primarily on Israel/Palestine and Red /Blue State conflicts, but can be on any topic your community is experiencing division around.
If you or your organization is experiencing conflict, and would like to schedule a facilitated conversation, or discuss coaching skills, feel free to reach out to me.
